Dear Member,

This is to inform you that the membership of the Professional Teacher Association Network (PTAN) is open for renewal as well as for new registration of membership for the year 2015

To facilitate the registration, PTAN membership registration form has been attached to this letter. Interested institutions are requested to submit their form duly filled in along with the visiting card of the concerned school principal and an annual fee of Rs. 5,400/- (in cash or by pay order in favor of “The Aga Khan University”) latest by Tuesday, March 10, 2015. The membership will get expired on December 31, 2015.

The registration process will be completed as soon as possible, however, the institutions are requested to collect their membership cards, after 4 weeks of submission date of their registration form, from the PTAN Office between 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday.

Every institution will be issued 2 cards of each association, which will enable it to send two teachers to each workshop. The institution will be required to confirm the names of the participating teachers prior to the workshop date via email at registration@ptan.org or by calling 36347611-4/36826991-4, Ext. 8554/8556. These teachers will be required to present their association membership cards at the registration desk before attending the workshop.

After registration, every institution will receive a circular of the upcoming workshop well in advance. In case these circulars somehow do not reach in time, the members can obtain an update of the upcoming session from our website www.ptan.org or contact us on phone numbers 36347611-4/36826991-4, Ext: 8554/8556.  It is informed that no participant shall be allowed to attend a regular workshop without presenting the membership card.

Individual Membership Registration for the Year 2015

Dear Member,

This is to remind you that your membership of the association is open for renewal for the year 2015. If you have not so far renewed it, you are requested to do it latest by Tuesday, March 10, 2015, since the membership issued for the year 2014 has stood expired after December 31, 2014.   

To facilitate the renewal of membership, a registration form is attached hereto. You are requested to submit this form duly filled in and signed along with a copy of your CNIC and 1”x 1” size photograph/s as well as an annual renewal fee of Rs. 300/- per association membership to PTAN office between 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday. The renewed membership will remain valid from March 1 to December 31, 2015.

After the registration, every member will receive a letter of the upcoming session. In case the letter does not reach you in time; you can get an update of the upcoming session from our website www.ptan.org or contact us on phone numbers 36347611-4 / 36826991-4, Ext. 8554/8556. SHADE workshop titled: Discipline without Stress on February 28, 2015

This session builds on the concepts of ‘Discipline without Stress”, the work of Dr. Marvin Marshall who is a specialist in education and child development. This is a highly positive learning session for teachers at all grade levels seeking to help young people learn without putting overwhelming pressure upon them in the process.

This workshop introduces a system to help teachers, foster accountability and positive life skills in their learners. Discipline without Stress sets forth very practical ideas in a reasonable and rational manner. This session will help to improve classroom management skills of teachers and maintain discipline within and outside the classroom.

This is a high order thinking session and will encourage participants to contextualize these approaches for their classroom and school settings. the session will help participants to:


·   Explore the differences between Classroom Management and Discipline
·   Discover the myths regarding discipline
·   Maintain discipline in their classrooms without taking and/or giving stress.

Facilitator’s Profile:
Nadeem ur Rehman Khan is a learning consultant, trainer and an intrapreneur. He works at IQRA University as Manager, Corporate Liaison Unit. Previously, he has worked with The Aga Khan Education Services, Pakistan. With over 6 years of experience in the learning and development sector, he has worked for employee development at various organizations and has extensive expertise in innovation, learning and organizational development. he has trained people from Bank Alfalah, Coca-cola, Avery Dennision, Feroz Textile, Asia Care, Basf Chemicals, Hascol Petroleum, Attock Cement, Gfk Etilize, National foods, EFU Life, Euronet, Gatron-Novatex, PPL and many more.

A lifelong learner, Nadeem has received professional education from the Institute of Business Management and Notre Dame Institute of Education. He is a certified educationist from the Australian Catholic University, Australia and an accredited trainer from Skill City, Bahrain.

For registration, please fill in the attached registration form and submit it along with registration fee of Rs. 500/-(in cash only) to PTAN Office between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Tuesday-Saturday).

Since the seats are limited, registration will be done on a first come, first served basis. Please note that no On-Spot registration will be accepted.
