held on Saturday, August 9, 2014.
Title: Using Music and Movement
to Develop Creativity and Confidence in Children
Objectives of the workshop

Building confidence and
creativity in young children through creative movement exercises

Teaching children to express
their moods and feelings through music and movement
·
Encouraging children to make
sounds with their voices to describe objects and life experiences
·
Improve balance, coordination,
and rhythm through dancing and other movement activities

Timing : From 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Venue : Aga Khan University, Institute for
Educational Development (AKU-IED)
Facilitator’s Profile:
Amjad Ansari is a trained
dance and theater artist. He has an experience of working in this field with
experts from all over the world. Dance is his passion and his areas of
expertise include bharatanatyam, kathak,
folk and contemporary dance. He has been teaching drama and movement in leading
schools of Karachi for the last 15 years.
Registration will start
from Friday, August 8, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. Since seating at the workshop
is limited, aspiring participants must confirm their participation at registration@ptan.org or phone #
36826991-4/36347611-4 Ext. 8554/8556. Available seating will be assigned on
a first-come, first-served basis, and the registration will be closed
once the workshop has been fully subscribed.
