The Professional Teacher Association Network (PTAN) was founded in mid 2002, with a support from Aga Khan University, Institute for Educational Development and Aga Khan Foundation, Pakistan. PTAN is a cluster of nine voluntary associations striving for the professional development of teachers/head teachers.

Ikhlas Saeed,
lecturer at Aga khan Higher Secondary School, Karachi. She is currently doing her
masters in English Literature from University of Karachi. She has completed her
bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and
Technology. Moreover, she has completed the practitioner and master
practitioner levels of a certified course on Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Basically,
her area of interest is the holistic development of individuals.
