About Tehrik-e-Niswan
Tehrik-e-Niswan (The Women’s Movement) was officially formed in 1979 with the objective to create awareness about women’s rights and to change moral, social, patriarchal attitudes towards women through the medium of the performing arts.

Tehrik-e-Niswan has played a pioneering role in introducing feminist political theatre and dance in Pakistan. Its plays and performances speak to a range of social issues. In the past thirty years Tehrik-e-Niswan Cultural Action Group has acquired national and international recognition as one of the major cultural group in Pakistan that has consistently struggled in the social, political and cultural arena to defend rights of ordinary Pakistanis to live in a society free of all kinds of exploitation and oppression. PAIE workshop on "Rediscovering Genius" on Saturday, November 16, 2013

Dear Member,

PAIE in collaboration with The Circle of Care Awareness Programme at Therapy Works is organizing an awareness workshop titled Rediscovering Genius. Once we accept that each student has his/her own learning style, our entire perception about teaching changes. The workshop invites teachers and educationists to experience insights into multiple intelligence theory.

Why should teachers/educationists attend?
Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligence has met with a strong positive response from many educators. It has been embraced by a range of educational theorists and, significantly, applied by teachers and policymakers to problems of schooling. The workshop will aim to illustrate this modelusing living examples from pre-school, higher, vocational and adult education initiatives.

Participants who wish to attend the workshop are requested to bring their school curriculum text books of subjects which they teach to get most out of the workshop.
Details of the workshop are as follows:
 Title:                                Rediscovering Genius
Time:                               9:00a.m. – 1:00p.m.
Date:                               Saturday, November 16, 2013
Venue:                            Aga Khan University, Institute for Educational Development
Facilitator:                      Ms. Ayesha S. Jamall, Remedial Therapist (Reads-Hornsby Diploma)

About the facilitator

Aysha S. Jamall is a Remedial Therapist (Reads-Hornsby Diploma), who also holds a Certificate in Counseling from Therapy Works (CPCAB). At present, she is studying for a Diploma in Counseling. She is currently leading the Circle of Care Programme at Therapy Works. Aysha has fifteen years of experience in the field of education management.
