EYLA Workshop titled "Anger Management in Children” on Saturday, May 4, 2013

On behalf of EYLA Executive Committee, we would like to invite you for the EYLA workshop to be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013.

Details of the session are as follows:

 Title:                       “Anger Management in Children”

 About the workshop:
 
The workshop is designed to help the target audience understand children with high levels of aggression and how to deal with these youngsters in an effective manner. This workshop will cover the various theories that are associated with children and aggression as well as effective strategies to understand and work with children to help them overcome their aggression. Focus will be given to the developmental aspects of the children as well as therapeutic strategies, through the use of metaphors, stories, and case illustrations. Participants will also be asked to partake in activities that would be used with children firsthand to help them experience what the child experiences in order to empathize with these children.
 
Workshop Objective
 1.      To educate the target audience about aggression in children from the perspective of:
a)      Manifestation of aggression in children
b)     Attachment styles of parents and children
c)      Philosophy and psychology of aggressive children
2.       To provide the target audience with resources to help them effectively work with aggressive children
3.       To provide the audience with effective interventions to employ with aggressive children

About Facilitator
Ms. Laila Lodhia has got 3 years of experience in psychological assessment, psychodiagnosis, and psychotherapy and worked with children and adults in a clinical setting with various mental disorders and emotional problems. Currently, she is working at Therapy Works (Pvt) Ltd as a Clinical Psychologist. She is also pursuing her M.Phil in Clinical Psychology and also engaged in a research for her M.Phil. titled “Resilience and Social Support as Determinants of Wellbeing in Adolescents”.

Available seating will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and the registration will be closed once the workshop has been fully subscribed.
