MAP Workshop titled "Diagnosing Children’s Errors in Mathematics" on Saturday, April 20, 2013

On behalf of MAP Executive Committee, we would like to invite you for the MAP workshop to be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013. Kindly note the details of the session as follow:
Title: “Diagnosing Children’s Errors in Mathematics”
Workshop Objectives:
- Identify different sources of children’s errors in Mathematics;
- State some examples of children’s error in Mathematics;
- Discuss the importance of teachers’ role in understanding and addressing common misconception among children in Mathematics.
Day/Date: Saturday, April 20, 2013
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Venue: AKU-IED, Karimabad
Target Audience: Primary/Secondary School Teacher
Facilitator: Mr. Kalander Bux Memon, (MEd Student, AKU-IED) & Ms. Sahreen Chauhan, Coordinator, MAP
Please note that due to the scope of the topic, the workshop will cover mainly errors occur in place value or more broadly related to Number sense. Kindly do bring some real examples from your classroom teaching. This workshop would be a good platform to learn about the reasons- why children make errors and discuss your role (as teachers) to deal with such situation.
