EYLA workshop on “World Around Me” on Saturday, March 16, 2013

On behalf of EYLA Executive Committee, we would like to invite you for the EYLA workshop to be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013.

Details of the session are as follows:
 

Title:                       “World Around Me”

About the workshop:

The workshop is designed to help early years teachers to introduce the concept of “World Around Me” with the help of directions and map reading skills. Focus would be given to the concept of different features of map, globe, simple directions, cardinal directions and symbols with the help of songs/poems, storytelling, drawings model making and role play. Through different activities teachers would be able to make their children understand basic physical features of land, differentiation of land mass and water, number of continents their shapes along with some facts related to the continents and people living over there, by exploring globe and maps.

Facilitator:                      Ms. Farrah Nafis

About Facilitator

Ms. Farrah Nafis has diverse experience of 10 years that includes working in various capacities as a teacher in different private schools. She also worked as an Academic Coordinator for 5 Years at Al-Murtaza School. She has done M.A. in International Relations. Currently, she is pursuing her M.B.A in Educational Leadership and also engaged in a research study on “How to Initiate Writing in Students”.
 
Registration will start from Friday, March 15, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. Since seating at the workshop is limited, aspiring participants must confirm their participation at registration@ptan.org or phone # 36826991-4/36347611-4 Ext. 3203/3205. Available seating will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and the registration will be closed once the workshop has been fully subscribed.

Members sending their confirmations through e-mails should send their e-mails from 8:30 a.m. (PST) on March 15, 2013. Any e-mail received on March 15, 2013 before 8:30 a.m. (PST) will not be accepted.
