MAP Workshop titled "Teaching Mathematics with Games, Puzzles and Hands-on Activities" on August 11, 2012

On behalf of MAP Executive Committee, I would like to invite you for the MAP workshop to be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012. Details of the session are as follows:
Title: Teaching Mathematics with Games, Puzzles and Hands-on Activities
Day/Date: Saturday/ August 11, 2012
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Venue: AKU-IED, Karimabad
Target Audience: Teachers of grades 4 - 8
Facilitator: Ms. Rozmin Tejani
About the facilitator:
Ms. Tejani has completed her graduation with Bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies (with a specialization in teaching grades 4-8) from University of North Texas, USA. She brings about 6 years’ experience of teaching Mathematics to grades 5 and 6. She has mainly worked with children from low income areas. During this time, she has also served as a Chairperson for Mathematics committee and provided training to address high need areas for teachers. She has been involved in implementing an “After-School Peer Tutoring Program” between grades 5 and 3 students. She has also been elected to create Mathematics Assessments and Curriculum for grade 6 level for the school district. She is currently pursuing her Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree at Vanderbilt University in International Education Policy and Management. Recently, she has done her internship as a research analyst with the Research and Policy Studies (RAPS) department at Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED).
We would like to iterate that in order to provide quality professional development to all our valued members and to run this association effectively we need your full support and punctuality. Since seats for the session are limited, interested members are requested to kindly confirm their participation latest by Friday, August 10, 2012 at registration@ptan.org or (36826991-94/36347611-14 Ext. 3203 / 3205, Tuesday to Saturday). This will facilitate us in organizing the workshop, effectively.
