EYLA workshop on “Teaching with Emotional Intelligence” on Saturday, August 4, 2012

On behalf of EYLA Executive Committee, we would like to invite you for the EYLA workshop to be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012.

Details of the session are as follows:   

Title:        “Teaching with Emotional Intelligence”
                  The way you handle your own emotions and those of others is
                  central to your success as a Teacher. This 4 hour workshop will show
                  you to:
                  
                  -  Discover how you relate to your learners
                  -  Shape the emotional environment
                  -  Listen to your learners effectively
                  -  Read and respond to the feelings of individual & groups
                  -  Improve your non-verbal communication
                  -  Recognize your prejudices & preferences

Time:          9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Venue:        AKU-IED, Karimabad

About Facilitator
Ms. Nadya Akram is an Early Childhood Educational Development (ECED) graduate from Aga Khan University, Institute for Educational Development. She has been working with early years teachers and young children for last eight years. She has also worked as an Academic Coordinator at the AL-Murtaza School. As a teacher trainer she has conducted workshops for different organizations.


Registration will start from Friday, August 3, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. Since seating at the workshop is limited, aspiring participants must confirm their participation at registration@ptan.org or Phone # 36826991-4/36347611-4 Ext. 3203/3205. Available seating will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and the registration will be closed once the workshop has been fully subscribed.

Members sending their confirmations through e-mails should send their e-mails from 8:30 a.m. (PST) on August 3, 2012.  Any e-mail received on August 3, 2012 before 8:30 a.m. (PST) will not be accepted
