EYLA workshop titled: Phonics and Decoding on January 24, 2015

Dear EYLA Member,

On behalf of EYLA Executive Committee, we would like to invite you for a workshop to be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015.

Title:                                   “Phonics and Decoding”

Introduction:
Phonics instruction helps beginning reader to understand the relationship between letters and sound, letters and words. It is most effective when phonic should be emphasized in early grades so as to develop a solid foundation for more advanced decoding skills introduce early in the reading development process.

Objectives:
This four (4) hour workshop helps participants to experience different strategies to reinforce the understanding of phonic and decoding and its help in how to deliver an effective phonic lesson.

Registrations Fees:         Rs. 500/-   (for this workshop only)

Facilitator’s Profile:
Nadya Akram is an Early Childhood Educational Development (ECED) graduate from Aga Khan University, Institute for Educational Development. She has been working with early years teachers and young children for last ten (10) years. She has also worked as an Academic Coordinator in private schools. As a teacher trainer she has conducted workshops on early years education for various organizations.

For registration, please fill in the attached registration form and submit it along with registration fee of Rs. 500/-(in cash only) to PTAN Office between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Tuesday-Saturday).

Since the seats are limited, registration will be done on a first come, first served basis. Please note that no On-Spot registration will be accepted.

EYLA workshop titled “Phonics and Decoding” which is supposed to be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 has been postponed.


New date of the workshop will be Saturday January 31, 2015. Last day of registration for the workshop will be Wednesday, January 28, 2015.
