ASSET in collaboration with The Citizens Archive of Pakistan (CAP) organizing special event titled “Celebrating Diversity”

Dear Members

It gives me a great pleasure to inform you that on December 20, 2014, ASSET is organizing a special event for school children and teachers in collaboration with The Citizens Archive of Pakistan (CAP). The theme of the event is “Celebrating Diversity”.

We reside in a culturally diverse world. Culture is a dominant factor that influences both our daily actions and the decisions we make. The understanding of culture and diversity is often restricted to its visible aspects like food, language, clothes and alike. The link between these visible components of culture and the non-visible features including ideas, belief, values and traditions is an important factor of the study.

Celebrating Diversity is an interactive 4-hour session that will take students on a journey from introduction, to understanding and celebration of diversity. Use of audio-visual archive and interactive activities will engage students and teachers throughout the day. The methodology undertaken traverses from guided inquiry to investigation and finally concluding with reflection. This event has been particularly designed to bring about a stimulating experience for all the participants.
