HEALTH session titled "Providing Basic First Aid at School" on Saturday, October 03, 2015
Dear Member,
On behalf of HEALTH
Executive Committee, we would like to invite you for the HEALTH workshop to be
held on Saturday, October 03,
2015. The details of the session are as follows:
Topic: Providing Basic
First Aid at School
Rationale
A basic and understanding
of first aid can be instrumental for individuals to be able to provide
emergency care in the event of an accident, possibly saving lives and
minimizing injury. Since injury is the fifth leading cause of death and
children at the age of primary school are liable for accidents and lack of
knowledge and good judgment of their teachers may lead to dangerous
consequences when emergencies occur. Training teachers how to deal with
accidents is of obvious importance.
Objectives: By the end of this workshop the
participants will be able to discuss:
·
Discuss First
Aid and its importance.
·
Discuss list of
items required in first aid box.
·
Highlight the
medical emergency responses and role of educators/health members of school
·
Watch few first
aid techniques for fracture, burn, lifting from fall etc.
