PAIE Executive Committee, you are invited to a PAIE workshop on Saturday, August 22, 2015. Details are
as follows:
Title: Auditory Verbal Therapy
Seminar Objective:
AVT (Audio
Verbal Technique) helps children with residual speech and acoustic
ability. This is designed to supporting
and promoting programs for the early detection, identification, and diagnosis
of hearing loss and the auditory management of infants, toddlers, and children
identified along with Auditory-Verbal Therapy.

Time: 9:00 a.m.
to 1:00 p.m.
Venue: AKU-IED, Karimabad
Facilitators: Ms Saba Naqi and Ms Shehla
Irum
Venue: Aga Khan University-Institute for
Educational Development (Karimabad)
About the Facilitators:
Ms Saba Naqi has done her masters in
Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. She has been working as a Speech
Therapist and Special Educator in Milestone Charitable Trust for last 7 years
dealing with children with special needs.
Ms Shehla Irum has done her masters in
Speech Pathology and Audiology. She has also done internship in Audiology from
National Hearing Services, Karachi and worked as an Audiology Assistant at
Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad. She has also worked as Speech Therapist
with various schools and institutions.
In view of limited seats available, prior
registration for this workshop is mandatory.
