the HEALTH workshop to be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013. The details
of the session are as follows:
Topic: The
Place of Emotional Intelligence in the Classroom
At the beginning
of the 21st century, the education of many children and young people around the
world is compromised by conditions and behaviors that undermine the physical
and emotional well-being that makes learning possible.
When Emotional
Intelligence is embedded in classrooms, the relationship between learners and
teachers is transformed, problem solving becomes commonplace, diversity is
respected and valued, and democracy and teamwork flourish.
Teacher face enormous challenges meeting both the
academic and emotional needs of their learners
in the classroom. Therefore, the workshop exclusively focused
the impact of emotional Intelligence on learners, and its relationship with
learning environment.

Profile:
Mrs. Shahnila
Sami is a Senior Academic Advisor at Danish Publication. She had done M. Phil
in education and has been in education field for more than 15 years where
she has extensively worked with reputable organizations as a Vice Principal,
Academic Coordinator, Teacher Educator and Trainer for School Leaders.
She has conducted many training
sessions for school leaders and teachers. She has also
been giving consultancy to different educational projects.
