Dear Institutional Heads/Individual members
It gives me a great pleasure to inform you that on October 1, 2011, ASSET is organizing a special event relating to 64th Pakistan Independence Day in collaboration with The Citizens Archive of Pakistan. The theme of the event is ‘A Walk through Pakistan’
Brief on Theme of the Event:
‘A Walk through Pakistan’ is an interactive 3-hour session aimed at educating its audience by taking them through historical facts at the creation of Pakistan. Teachers and students will embark on the memorable journey with the aid of audio, video and fun group activities.
The students will learn about prominent historical leaders of the subcontinent, Pakistan's geography at the time of partition and some of the key issues our society is currently faced with. Simultaneously, the teachers will be shown a series of interviews and photographs of the people who witnessed Pakistan becoming an independent state as well as the conditions during the formation of the country in order to develop in the teachers a wider and more comprehensive understanding of the events. Moreover, the teachers will explore other supporting sources of history to make their teaching more effective and interesting.
This event has been particularly designed to bring about a stimulating experience for all the participants.
