SAP: Summer Short Course "“Towards becoming a Great Science Teacher” from June 16-27, 2014

Dear Members,

Science Association of Pakistan (SAP) is constantly providing opportunities to teachers to learn to teach
science effectively by updating their knowledge about new research and development in the field of science education. This year SAP has organized a summer short course “Towards becoming a Great Science Teacher”. This short course will provide science teachers an opportunity to explore, discuss and extend
their understanding of different interactive teaching pedagogies and their assessments.

KEY FEATURES OF THE SHORT COURSE:
1.      The short course is designed for new, experienced, primary, secondary & higher secondary schools science teachers.
2.      Participants will engage in interactive teaching pedagogies.
3.      Opportunities to discuss and extend their learning of question-writing for assessing students’ learning.
OBJECTIVES FOR THE SHORT COURSE:
The course will provide participants with an opportunity to:
·         Enhance understanding about contemporary teaching approaches
·         Explore and learn new trends in assessment with reference to Contemporary Theories
·         Develop and share lesson plans and write questions on various Science topics
