Pakistan Association of Inclusive Education (PAIE) and Danishkadah organizing a one day seminar on education of people with hearing loss, theme " Including the Excluded through Improving Education Quality"

Pakistan Association of Inclusive Education (PAIE) and Danishkadah (www.danishkadah.org.pk) are jointly organizing a one day seminar on education of people with hearing loss. Theme of the seminar is “Including the excluded through Improving Education Quality”

Background information and outline about the seminar are enclosed herewith.
 We invite you to submit a brief paper on one of the topics below.
1.      Pakistan Sign Language
2.      Educating the Deaf with Sign Language in Deaf schools
     a)      Successes and failures
     b)      Pros and cons
3.      Educating the Deaf with Sign Language in mainstream schools
4.      Educating people with hearing loss in mainstream schools
      a)      Successes and failures
      b)      Pros and cons
5.      Developing the speech and skill of spoken language
       a)      Importance of spoken language
       b)      Speech therapy
       c)      Assistive listening, speech-reading/lips-reading
6.      Assistive technologies

Your paper needs to be based on reflection on your experience of teaching and learning children/people with hearing loss or empirical research data. You will be invited to present your paper at the seminar once it is accepted by the organizers. You can submit your paper at one of the email addressed given below.
