Collaborative Session of HEALTH & ASSET- "Understanding Adolescents and Empathizing Youth Voices" on Saturday, March 10, 2012

Dear Members,

It is a pleasure to inform you that this month HEALTH and ASSET are
organizing a collaborative session on adolescent and its issues, the
theme of the session is Understanding Adolescents and Empathizing
Youth Voices. Adolescent phase is a very important and challenging
phase in relation to development of a child, as it is a transition from
childhood to adult hood and child passes through physical,
psychological and social behaviour changes. For parents and teachers
it is essential to understand this phase and deal with the related issues
effectively.  Moreover, empathize youth voices.

By the end of the workshop teachers will be able to:
- Understand adolescence and their issues.
- Explore the world from an adolescent’s perspective.
- Know ways to help adolescents in coping with the flux of change they
  go through
- Learn a paradigm shift from a deficit model to a value and asset model
  of youth development

Facilitator’s Profile:
Mr. Karim Aman possesses graduate degree in education from the
Karakorum International University Gilgit and also M.Ed. degree
(with distinction) in Educational leadership and management from
Aga Khan University – Institute for Educational Development in 2011.
Mr. Aman has been working with Ismail Tariqa and Religious
Education Board, Pakistan (ITREB) since 1998 in different academic
capacities. Currently he is serving at ITREB as a project manager
where he is responsible for beneficiary feedback survey research,
infrastructure development and project access. Beside these, he has
been to ITREB-Iran and ITREB-UAE as visiting faculty. He is a
motivation speaker and training and development consultant and
worked with various organizations dealing with civil society
development.
