Dear EYLA Member,

We are writing to seek your consent to participate in a research study to test “Rani’s Questions”, a segment in the Pakistan Children’s Television (PCTV) Programme, Sim Sim Hamara. This programme is being developed by Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop (RPTW).

RPTW, with assistance from Sesame Workshop, is engaged in developing different programmes for children through an integrated series of activities – including television, educational outreach – and research, to provide educational opportunities for children, especially Pakistan’s most vulnerable children.

In order to bring improvement and modification in the developed programmes, PCTV will conduct formative research which is an integral component of the Sesame Workshop model, providing valuable information about the appeal, usability, educational efficiency and cultural appropriateness of outreach material during the development process.

One of the studies is to test “Rani’s Question” a segment in the programme. For this purpose, PCTV – RPTW has asked for EYLA’s assistance in organizing a research survey with Early Years’ Teachers.
